NEW ARRIVAL

Rosemerline

Rosemerline, born on March 6, 2004, entered MARANATHA CHILDREN’S HOME on January 23, 2009.  She, our newest arrival, settled in rather quickly but it as with most of the kids it will take several days for her to get used to the three female mastiffs that see her as another possible source of dropped food on the floor during meal times.

Rosemerline’s twenty-one year old mother just had another child last month and so she at such a young age has had three children.  Rosemerline’s father is unknown as they say here or "pa gen papa" which means that there is no father.

We are privileged that God would entrust her into our care and we will endeavor to honor Him as we prepare her for the day when she will travel to her forever family.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ROSEMERLINE AND FOR THE NANNIES THAT GIVE THE DAILY CARE TO THE CHILDREN.

I CAN’T BELIEVE WE GOT ROOSTERS

ROOST11

For some reason still unclear to me I found myself with Byron buying 7 roosters to go along with our sistas.  I admit that I am still not clear as to the role that a rooster plays in making eggs become chickens, hens, or roosters or whatever the correct term is.

Pictured left is the place where we bought the roosters.  They were a lot more difficult to catch for the catch the rooster guys than the sistas were to catch.

Byron, a dairy farmer in the States, has been chosen as the expert of all animal type things that are not human.  Except, of course, Beth’s herd of masitiff dogs.  He will figure out the rooster thing and how we can have some little ones.

The guy pictured left is one of the rooster catching guys.

The guy behind the rooster catching guy is Byron, our resident expert.  That is until he can find someone who really knows what to do.

ROOST3

Here are a couple of the roosters shortly after we put them with the sistas.  Now as I have admitted, I’m not sure of what exactly happens to turn an egg to a chicken but I am told that it involves a rooster.  Well I just came from visiting the sistas and  roosters and the roosters are just hanging out by themselves in a corner of the yard just like they were yesterday.  Maybe this is what is meant as a long distance relationship.

GOOD STUFF

Right Information – Dallas Willard & Don Simpson

"Information begins our transformation.  Consider the words of Romans 10:14: ‘How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard?’  Without correct information, our ability to think has nothing from which to work.  Instead, without the requisite information, we may be afraid of thinking at all or may simply be incapable of thinking straight.
Failure to know what God is really like and what his law requires destroys the soul, ruins society, and leads people to eternal ruin: ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge’ Hosea 4:6, and ‘A people without understanding comes to ruin’ 4:14.  This is the tragic condition of the Western culture today, which has put away the information about God that God himself has revealed."
