Yesterday, while 12 men met on a rooftop in Port-au-Prince to pray, one of the men prayed that the church and believers in America would not be intimidated by the economy but would rather look to the Lord for as their source.  This is a good prayer for all of us. We meet on this rooftop every Tuesday and would count it an honor to pray for any requests that you may have.

This same guy told us that when looking at Haiti and its problems he saw a big raven type bird (satan) which would continually pass over Haiti defecating over the whole country and that missionaries were here just shoveling the stuff but not really dealing with the real issue which is the raven (satan).

We have a group with us from Foothills Community Church in Avarda, CO with us.  This morning we scheduled a time when they could tell us about their church and minister God’s word to us and share communion.  During a time of sharing Jared, one of the men in the group asked, “What does it look like to be desperate for God?”
His question prompted me to think of  Psalm 42:1: As the deer pants for the streams of water, so I long for you, O God.

Our workers praying for the Foothills group

The group from Foothills has painted almost the entire downstairs of the Women’s Center and finished two jobs that had been started.
1, Finished the stairway going to the roof of the Boys’ House
2, Finished the clothes line on the roof of the Boys’ house.
Both of these jobs involved fabricating and a fair amount of welding.

They as well strung cable wire in the back yard of the Girls’ House so we can guide the grape vine onto the cable wires and have the vine provide shade in the area that the workers sit to eat and for their break.

"Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for; to make them worth it."

Our church, Port-au-Prince Fellowship, continues to be an important part of what we do here.  Yesterday we had a Men’s Meeting with about 50 in attendance; Friday we will have a Good Friday Service and show the DVD "Most".  Sunday morning at 6:00 we will meet at a place called Lookout Point where we will worship, pray, read God’s word and celebrate the resurrection of Christ.  And then on Sunday morning we will have our morning service.  If you are visiting Haiti, we would love to have you join us at our service.  We meet on the campus of Quisqueya Christian School at Delmas 75/77.
