WHERE DO WE LIVE?

Posted: September 28, 2009 in Uncategorized
When we moved into our present house about 12 years ago the name of the street was Rue Chacha and the house was number 3.  Then a man built a house on the empty lot in between the first house on the street and the second house which is our house.  He then became Rue Chacha number 3 and so we became Rue Chacha the second number 3.

A few years ago for some reason the name of the street was changed to Rue Clercine 9 and so we became Rue Clercine 9 the second number 3 on the street.  And then about two weeks ago the street was changed back to Rue Chacha and again we are Rue Chacha the second number 3.

At the same time the name of the street that the children’s homes are on was called Rue 6 and we have never been able to determine the numbers of the houses but for some reason we think that they could be maybe 8 or 10 or 12 or 14 or 16 but we are not certain.

And when the street that we live on was changed to Clercine 9, the street that the children’s home are on was changed to Clercine 19.  And just a few days ago I saw that the street has again had its name changed.  It is now Rue Sadrack.  But when you come to the street you will see three signs: Rue 6 and Clercine 19 and now Rue Sadrack.

The street that the women’s center is on was Rue 4 and then when our street became Clercine 9 and the children’s home street became Clercine 19, it became Clercine 21.  And then last week a new sign was posted and the street is now called Impasse Gelin.

Now the main street on which you turn onto Clercine 19 or Rue Chacha, or Rue 6 or Clercine 19 or Rue Sadrack or Rue 4 or Clercine 21 or Impasse Gelin has always since we have lived here been named Rue Clercine.  But last week the name changed to Gerald Theodat.

So when you ask my address or the addresses of the children’s home and the women’s center and I look confused and don’t answer right away, please be patient as I try to remember the names of the streets.
