by Doug Stanton:  This fascinating book is about the sinking of the WWII ship the USS Indianapolis

THE SCANDAL OF THE EVANGELICAL CONSCIENCE by Ronald J. Sider:   This disturbing book written in 2005 deals with the condition of the church in the United States.

Ultimate Sacrifice: John and Robert Kennedy, the plan for the coup in Cuba, and the murder of JFK by Thom Hartmann & Lamar Waldron: Interesting book about JFK’s death and who could have been responsible for it and a proposed coup in Cuba.

REREADING

LEFT TO TELL by Immaculee Ilibagiza:  This disturbing book deals with the author’s experience during the Rwandan genocide.

NOW READING

 THE BOY WHO HARNESSED THE WIND by William Kamkwamba & Bryan Mealer: This is an inspiring story about the life of a young man in Africa who used the only resources available to build a windmill to provide electricity and bring water to his community.

    I have read it; but you can send a triple cheese whopper no onions.

    I believe that way back when, that onions grew on trees and that it was actually an onion tree from which Adam and Eve ate.
